Live, Love, Latch Virtual 5K Run, Walk, Ride

Live, Love, Latch!® is a National Breastfeeding Month (Aug. 1-31) celebration presented by La Leche League USA and hosted by LLL USA Groups across the country. Live, Love, Latch!® events are designed not only to celebrate breastfeeding but also to highlight community support.

Yay!!  In-person races have returned for Live, Love, Latch! events for 2022.!!

You can also do a race NO MATTER where you are at for Live, Love, Latch! events for 2022.!

If you want to take part in an in-person race check with their Area Network (AN) for local guidelines and it is strongly suggested to have participants sign the Release of Liability and Waiver.  For virtual race you can race any day want between August 1st and August 31st. 

Live, Love, Latch!® provides an opportunity to educate family, friends, healthcare providers, and other community members about how they can support breastfeeding and emphasizes the value of the support network behind every nursing dyad. And so, we are excited to announce the second annual

Live, Love, Latch!® Virtual or In-Person 5K Run/Walk/Ride

Run, walk, ride, swim, unicycle, stroll, crawl...get creative!  Our hope is to get people moving and to bring awareness to the need for breastfeeding support in the community, so no matter your ability, get out and go!  If all you can manage is a stroll around the block with your newborn or if you decide to run a marathon distance, snap a selfie and share your beautiful faces with us using #LiveLoveLatch, #LiveLoveLatch5K, #LiveLoveLatch2022 and #LiveLoveLatch5K2022 on social media!!!

While highly appreciated, the goal of our event is to raise awareness, not funding.  Although a fundraiser is set-up by default when you register, please do not feel obligated to raise funds.  Only one individual from your party needs to officially register, we will ask you the total number of participants in your family/party during registration.  You only need to register individuals if you would like to earn fundraising giveaways individually.  If you do choose to raise funds, please keep the following in mind:

Fundraisers will earn Live, Love, Latch! 5K giveaways at different fundraising levels.  You can always donate to your own fundraiser if you want to achieve a certain level of giveaways but not solicit donations from others.  For example, you can simply donate $50 yourself if you would like to receive the 5K medal. Medals will be shipped out as earned; t-shirts and water bottles will be shipped in batches in August to those who have earned them.  

You will need to select an LLL Area Network/Area/Group to be the designated recipient of your fundraising.  If you do not know what Area Network/Area/Group you are affiliated with, you can reach out to whoever invited you to participate in this event for that information.  If you still do not know, please select "LLL USA".
