Itinerary:

Thursday May 9, 2024 - Pre race

Official Action Asia bus departs Lijiang approximately 2pm for up to 4 hour drive. Participants may want to arrive in Lijiang day before to acclimatize to elevation. Taxi from airport to Lijiang city can be arranged if arriving May 9. Departure from Dien Ju Wan hotel in Lijiang.
Race Venue - Arrive Lugu Lake approximately 6pm to check in with race pack registration, race number distribution starting approximatedly 730pm with race briefing on Day 1 with map distribution, explanation of course markings.
Accommodation included at race venue.
Friday May 10, 2024 - Day 1

7am at start location - Get ready to race

Saturday May 11 - Day 2

Race starts around 7 - 7:30am

Sunday May 12 - Day 3

Race starts around 7am
Lunch buffet, Awards ceremony at finish village area in Lugu Lake.
After awards buses leaving at around 12 noon - 1pm to go to Lijiang city - approx 4 hours. (Arrival at Dian Jun Wang Hotel, Lijiang). If going directly from Lijiang to Lijiang airport approx RMB140 and should be able to checkin airport approx 5:30pm-6pm if you have evening departure flights.

Insurance - Organizer provides 3rd party insurance for event only. Participants should purchase their own personal insurance to cover hospital medical coverage and evacuation if needed.

Medical - As this event involves going into the mountains we recommend all participants to have gone to a medical checkup before the event to make sure you are physically fit enough to handle this kind of physical challenge.

Survival medal and certificate - provided to all finishers

Shirt - high quality dry tech material short sleeve shirt provided to all participants.



What's included in the entry:

Airport car/van/bus pickup and taken to the official hotel in Lijiang if you arrive Thursday May 9 before 1pm (Bus departs 2pm to race location)
Bus transportation from Lijiang to start race location Thursday May 9 (4 hr drive).
Transportation during stage race days and transport of your luggage between race stages if needed.
Accommodation for Thursday May 9, Friday May 10, Saturday May 11 in official hotel on lake at race venue.
Transportation from finish location to Lijiang city Yunnan, Sunday May 12 after awards ceremony.
Breakfast in race location Friday May 10, Saturday May 11, Sunday May 12.
Racing number, pins & souvenir race shirt provided
Water and banana/oranges fruit on the race course (checkpoint every 10km estimate) with fruit and water at finish line each day.
Medical, Police and staff support with event 3rd party insurance

What's not included:

Room space for friends and family as they must pay just like participants even if coming just to volunteer or cheer you on.
Optional extra nights accommodation – If you want to arrive early Weds May 8 or stay Sunday night May 12 or longer we can help you if staying at Dien Ju Wan hotel.
Visa for mainland China - (Please make sure you have this and apply well in advance.)
Food (lunch & dinner) in villages where the race will take place (Food ok in the local village (Fried noodles, fried rice, tofu, vegetable naxi dishes. Some restaurants now prefer you to pay by Alipay/Wechat pay and can eat at hotel and charge to credit card. Slowly becoming cashless society.
Personal evacuation insurance - all overseas events you need this in case life threatening illness or something where helicopter is needed.
Bringing extra Family, friends, volunteers others who want to come with you - they are treated as a participant in the race and still have to pay the full fee (actually in a way they cost us more as we have to transport them around also)
Return flight or train tickets to Yunnan.
