Hot August Night Trail Race

Embark on a nighttime adventure with the Hot August Night Trail Race through the Citrus Tract of the Withlacoochee Forest. This event offers participants the chance to experience the serene beauty of the forest under a starlit sky. Runners start at Holder Mine, Inverness, FL, and are required to use headlamps or flashlights. Bright, creative outfits are encouraged. Reflective pins and glow sticks mark the single-track trails composed of packed sand and pine needles. Aid stations provide hydration and snacks, and a post-race picnic awaits all finishers, who also receive a handcrafted medal. Camping options are available for an extended stay.
