Evangel Christian Academy Autism 5k - LA

Date & Starting Time:  Saturday, April 27, 2024
Fun Run (½ mile) begins at 8:00 am
5k begins at 8:15 am.
The race will start and finish at SC Church: 5720 Buncombe Rd. Shreveport, LA, 71129.
Race Day Registration will begin at 7:15 am.
 
Registration:  Early Registration is $25 until March 31
$30 through April 26
$40 on the day of the race April 27
 
T-shirts & Race Packet Pick-Up:  Packet pick-up will be held at Sportspectrum, Thursday, April 25  from 12 pm-6 pm and Friday, April 26 from 10 am-5:30 pm. You may also pick up your packet on April 27 at the race site beginning at 7:15 am. An original “Autism 5K” t-shirt will not be guaranteed to anyone registered after April 8, 2024.  A swag bag with items from our sponsors will be donated to registrants on a first come first serve basis.
 
Teams: Interested in racing as a team? Recruit your family, friends, or coworkers to run under a team name to celebrate those affected by autism. 
 
Age Groups and Awards:  1st Male & Female in the following age groups will receive a prize.8-under, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+.
1st Overall male & female will receive $100 gift card.
 
Post Party: Be sure to stay after the race for refreshments and awards!
 
Donations & Sleep in Supporters: If you are unable to attend the race but would like to make a monetary donation, you may do so by mailing a check, cash, or money order addressed to ECA at 5720 Buncombe Rd. Shreveport, LA 71129 or give online at https://scchurch.com/give/. Make sure to include in the memo that it’s for the Autism 5K!
 
Special Note:  Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and any hand pushed or pulled vehicle will be allowed on the course, but at a walk pace capacity only. Absolutely NO in-line skates, roller skates or runners with baby strollers will be allowed on the run course. This rule is an RRCA regulation!
