Angeles Crest 100 mile endurance run

100M results Erik Schulte (19:46:20) secured a win over close to 100 runners in the 28th running of the Angeles Crest 100mi Endurance Race through the San Gabriel Mountains in Wrightwood, California. Michael Carson (20:14:24) came in second ahead podium perennial Ruperto Romero (20:44:49). Romero won it last year with a time of 19:28:01. He place second the three years prior to that and third in 2010. For the women, it was Ashley Nordell (22:35:38) with the nod in first. She finished second in 2008 and 2007. This year’s runner-up Jennifer Benna (23:24:35), was the only other woman to come in under 24 hours. Dawn Poole cut more than an hour and 40 minutes from her fourth-place finish from a year ago to take third with a time of 24:40:10.
