A 5k run like no other!  Tacos & Beer 5k run Kicks off a fun and festive El Grito weekend.  El Grito is the Celebration of the Mexican Independence Day and Community Culture--It is a great fiesta.  Prepare to be immersed in music culture from the start line to the finish line to the post-race fiesta.   Walk, jog or run and then get rewarded with TWO Tacos and a Beer (for 21+) at the Baja Fiesta-Party with a Beer Garden, live mariachi music, live bands, DJs, games,   So wear your costume, bring the Mexican sombrero, serape, folklore skirts, the maracas, la guitara, el barracho, la muchacha, the whole family!

The Run Course: Smith Park in the City of Pico Rivera, CA.  Run/walk through Streets of Pico Rivera featuring a flat and fast course.

Awards will be given to the top three overall Male and Female Finishers.  FUN COMPETITION:  Awards in the Categories of *Traditional Team Costume*Most Creative Team Name*Largest Team.
