Race to the Taste 5K - Charlotte

The 2022 Race to the Taste 5K presented by Truliant Federal Credit Union has been postponed due to so many events already scheduled this fall in the Charlotte area and the need to have it approved by the city.  **We will be in touch as we figure out if this event can be held around the 2022 Taste of Charlotte Festival Dates.  Taste of Charlotte Festival will be Sept. 30, Oct 1 & 2 this year.  We will give registered participants the option of a refund or to move your registration to next year.   If you have immediate questions, you can email: [email protected]

The 5K, Race to the Taste, will start at 9am followed by the Cupcake Run/Walk at 9:45am. The 5K course will follow the city streets Uptown for a beautiful skyline view. Runners can participate in the traditional full course 5K or can enjoy a lighter menu of the 1 mile Cupcake Run/Walk...grabbing mini cupcakes along the route - racing to the end or taking it slow enjoying their local cupcakes.

Making the race more appetizing, Runners who register for the 5k prior to May 15th will receive a premium UNISEX race shirt and an awesome swag bag which includes a Taste of Charlotte Super Coin that can be used to purchase any food item from any of the participating restaurants at the Taste of Charlotte Festival and more!  
T-Shirt and Swag Bag are not guaranteed to runners who register after May 15th.  
Participants of the Cupcake Run/Walk will receive a UNISEX t-shirt and cupcakes!! You can run or walk in both at a discounted rate and still receive a swag bag.
*Please note that if you register for both races at the discounted rate, you will only receive the 5K UNISEX T-shirt, NOT two t-shirts and you will not receive the swag bag if only registering for the Cupcake Run/Walk.

Stick around after the race for the Food Lion After-Party with awards in multiple age divisions, live music, a cold Corona Premier, more cupcakes and the kick-off of Taste of Charlotte at 11:00am.  Please bring your ID if you plan to have a Corona Premier!
Taste of Charlotte has partnered with the Checkers Charitable Foundation again this year.  A donation will be made from the proceeds of the 5k. The Checkers will be onsite with Chubby and the Checkmates to help cheer on the runners.
