Hoi An Discovery Marathon

Hoi An is a an amazing location. The organizer knows how to make the route, which uncover the most beautiful parts of the area.

The race was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances but ZERO support was given and ZERO dollars were refunded. When my team asked for a refund the organizers seemed confused and told us they had already paid for the venue. You can't make people pay $60 for a medal and a t shirt without holding an event. We emailed racejungle multiple times and have no replies. NEVER run with this company because if it's canceled they will take all your money without hesitation.

The distance was also changed from a real half marathon 21.09km to 25km a month before the race. This organization is incredibly unprofessional.

Canceled the race (due to uncontrollable circumstances), but never offered any support. They refuse to refund the money (which is not cheap). They claim all the money has been used and all they can offer is a shirt. We did not hear a response through email, I had to go over to find the organizers to discuss in person. Also, 2 weeks before the half marathon they increase the route by 2 miles (4 km)! No explanation or reason, just without consideration. Not professional and does not care about the customer.

The 21 km start was confused. The startline was not kept free and no lights on the bridge. In the evening there are beautiful light on the bridge, why not in the morning. The track was very good and fast but you but you will have to put up kilometre signs 5, 10, 15 and for every km after 15 km. Not all runners use GPS

This was my 1/2-marathon number 95, and I enjoyed the race and the track. Good number of water stations. But you have to improve by setting up kilometre marks on 5, 10, 15 (or 1/2 distance or where you take the split time) and for every km the rest of the track. It a great help for many (tiered) runner that they can cut down the finish km by km. I will surely come back. I am a Danish runner but living in Vietnam.
