Cadini Sky Race

The race starts in Misurina in front of the Chalet Alpenrose at an altitude of 1756 meters and after skirting the lake it follows the final part of the disused Torre del Diavolo ski slope in the opposite direction and then turns left and takes path no. 115 that leads to Pian degli Spiriti. From here a short flat stretch begins until it joins, with a deviation to the left, path no. 118 that climbs up to the suggestive ruin of Coston S. Angelo. Once past the ruin, a short technical stretch of single track begins to reach the military road that, slightly downhill, leads to the Mazzorana slope of the Col De Varda chairlift. After climbing the slope up to the refuge of the same name at an altitude of 2115 m. continue climbing until you reach the saddle on the right behind which you can see an artillery observation post dating back to the Great War and after having passed some rocks (a section to be overcome with caution) you go back down along a comfortable path until you are close to the refuge where you turn left and then enter the dirt road (path no. 120) that leads to the Rifugio Città di Carpi at an altitude of 2130 m. at km 12 where we find the first refreshment point. From the Rifugio Carpi follow the Durissini path (path no. 112) that through the Forcella Verde, Cristina, Cadin Deserto, Sabbiosa, and della Torre, leads to the Fonda Savio refuge. This section is the most technical of the route with scree and a short equipped section that however does not present particular difficulties but requires a certain amount of caution. At this point you go up to the Tocci pass where the Fonda Savio refuge is located and the last refreshment point before descending to Pian degli Spiriti via path number 115. Once you reach Pian degli Spiriti you descend along the disused Torre del Diavolo track to the finish line.
