Yup , it's time to celebrate Arlon's birthday again, with a relaxed pace bike ride on the Rockingham Rail Trail! I've moved out of the area but ride HQ will again be at The Stone Church in Newmarket (5 Granite St).
On Sunday, November 3rd, we meet at 10AM and roll at 10:16AM. If you miss the start just ride to Rockingham Junction and head out the rail trail....you'll eventually find us! Gravel bikes are recommended. RWGPS route file is here.
This is Arlon's (Birthday) Heinz 67 ride! We are riding out for 67 minutes and back for 67 minutes. Essentially, that's a little over a 2 hour ride....or even less if you want to cut it short. Hey, it's Heinz 67, we take all varieties!
The Menu: the Stone Church has come up with a great package for us, with doors opening at 12:30PM: Rider's buffet to include Bacon Mac & Cheese and Vegan Chili (with cheese and cornbread on the side). There may be a platter or so of Recovery Poutine in the mix as well! They'll throw in your choice of a cheep beer, glass of house wine or soft drink. Will there be pumpkin whoopie pies? You never know.....
VERY IMPORTANT> the ride is free but I have included a Donation option, proceeds go to the Newfields Sno-Raiders club....they take care of the rail trail for all to enjoy. Please support as you can
Two qualifiers:
All smiles, your presence but no presents. I've already got enough crap and I can't get enough smiles (and hugs:)
We're capped at 50 total riders with a registration deadline of 5pm November 2nd, whichever comes first - so reserve your free ticket now!
