Experience the largest road race in Africa, the Great Ethiopian Run! With 45,000 participants, this annual race is one of the liveliest and most colourful events in the world. Ethiopia's celebrated international runners lead the way for local Ethiopians running, walking and dancing along the route.

Join runners from all over the world of all abilities and celebrate the running culture in Addis Ababa. Visit the markets, traditional restaurants and music venues while you’re there, and explore Ethiopia’s historical sites and national parks. The entry fee includes admission to the pre-race pasta party at the official race hotel, Hyatt Regency.
