NPSWC March for Sickle Cell 5K Walk/Run

The Neuse Pamlico Sound Women’s Coalition, Inc., comprised of professional women, hosts an annual Run/Walk for Sickle Cell. This hybrid event welcomes participants both in-person and virtually to raise awareness and funds for sickle cell disease (SCD), a serious blood disorder affecting millions worldwide. With over 100,000 cases in America and significant impact on African American and Hispanic communities, the coalition focuses on supporting treatment, transportation, and daily challenges for those affected. Community participation fosters unity and showcases the positive impact of collective efforts. Prizes and medals are awarded to top finishers across various age groups.
