About the event

Overview: The Race for the Rail Trail is on Saturday, September 17th at Skyterra Wellness in Brevard. This course will start and end at Skyterra Wellness taking participants through the former Glenn Cannon Golf Course.

Race Details: The purpose of this event is to raise funds for a local non-profit organization called Friends of the Ecusta Trail. Since 2009, a grassroots effort has taken place to build a multi-use greenway on the unused rail line between Brevard and Hendersonville. The dream is to convert this abandoned rail line into a "new cultural main street" connecting communities, promoting health, enriching the quality of life and the economy for everyone. In time, Friends of the Ecusta Trail envision that it will become the premier destination greenway in the Southeast. ALL PROCEEDS will be directly donated to the Ecusta Trail.
