Run Like A Mother- Ridgefield, CT

    The Run Like a Mother 5k & Kids 1 Mile 2024!

Your favorite way to spend Mother's Day returns to Ridgefield, Connecticut on Sunday, May 12, 2024, with a 5k Women's Race and Kids 1 Mile. The 5k race starts at The Ridgefield Playhouse and ends at Ballard Park, and is welcoming to both beginner and experienced runners alike.  At Ballard Park we'll have a family celebration area with runner refreshments and activities for the kids. There will be plenty of places for your family and friends to spectate, so tell them to get their poster-making skills ready!

PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

The Kids' 1 Mile starts at 8:00 AM. The 5k Race starts at 8:30 AM. 

Note: The Kids One Mile is for ages 4-12, boys & girls. Kids must be able to finish the mile in 20 minutes or less, so that the 5k can start on time. No strollers or wagons allowed. Kids aged 4-6 may have a parent run with them.

On Mother’s Day, we celebrate who we are and what we do.  Whether you are a mother or not, we understand the importance of modeling healthy behaviors for our future generations, and the caring of our own bodies and minds that make us stronger every day.

 

The 2024 Run Like a Mother race supports the Ridgefield Library’s  Noreen L. Papa “Mothers: Live Your Life” Fund.  Contributions to the Fund will support library programs and collections dedicated to women's health and wellness, specifically to educate mothers to take care of themselves so they can take care of others.
