LLS Bertman 5K &10K RUN/ WALK

Join us for a Fun Run (5k, 10k or virtual run/walk) to raise crucial funds for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) in Honor of Bert Vicchio (Bertman)- race director's (Lianne Vicchio) dad. The fight to terminate blood cancer is ongoing and funds raised from the race will be donated to LLS.

Where: Nimbus Fish Hatchery (American River Parkway start line- going west towards downtown Sacramento) Parking is free, but limited. If the lot is full, we recommend to park above the fish hatchery off of Gold Country Blvd. 

When: Saturday January 18th, 2025 8:00am

Course Description: This is an out and back course on the American River Trail starting at the Nimbus Fish Hatchery and moving West. THIS COURSE IS open and available to other river parkway users. PLEASE always stay to the left as walkers/runners on the bike trail. The aid station will be at the 10k turn around and no aid station for the 5k course. There is NO BATHROOM at race start, please plan accordingly. There is a Starbucks and a McDonalds less than a mile away. There is a bathroom on course. 

Packet/Bib Pick-up is DAY OF ONLY. Starting at 6:45am, 1/18/25 at the Nimbus Fish Hatchery Parking lot. There are no official timing chips. Times will be logged manually. We hope in future years as this fundraiser grows, we will be able to add official timing to this race. 

Goodie bags, bibs, and morning treats will be ready for you at check-in. Awards (medals) will be handed out for 1st-3rd place male and female overall. They will not be mailed out if not collected on race day.
