Huemules Challenge

The Mountain Huemules Reserve is located in the Cordón Rivadavia, northwest of the town of Esquel, province of Chubut, heart of Patagonia, Argentina. The altitude will vary from 1,060 meters to summit at 2,009 meters. The trails are little travelled and we will only be able to observe animal tracks between the extensive Lenga and Ñire forests, streams and waterfalls. We will travel long hauling sections with laja stone and steep sharp edges. We will pass over thaw lagoons and different posts used by an old polymetallic mine. From several of its ridge we will be able to observe a panoramic view of Los Alerces National Ppark and Futalaufquen lake.
