GFA Dragon Dash - 5K

Join us at the Dragon Dash!

A great, scenic & friendly course the whole family can enjoy. Invite your friends and neighbors, and join the GFA community for a 5K run (or walk) on Saturday, April 20.

Our event has partnered with an education-based charity for many years. We will continue this wonderful tradition! ALL donations will go directly to our beneficiary. We appreciate your support and generosity.

Our 5K (3.1mi) course is a gentle loop through the scenic Greens Farms neighborhood in Westport. Much of the second half is on a quiet street overlooking the Long Island Sound. The start and finish is on the GFA campus. Everyone running or walking this distance will be computer-timed and will be eligible for prizes & awards.

We also host a short, free kids’ fun run before the 5K starts.

We encourage all abilities to join us for all events of this great fundraising effort!

Funds raised will benefit Horizons GFA and Komera.

Registration Fees: 5K  $30 for 19 & over,    $22 for 18 & under  
                                         $35/$25  on  April 19 & 20.
                                         Kids Fun Run Scamper FREE for ages 8 yrs & younger only

4/10  Guaranteed shirt sizing ends.  After 4/10 sizes ‘as available’ only (we may sell out prior)

4/19    Registration fees increase.  
            Bib & shirt pickup at FLEET FEET in Westport from 3:30-5:30pm

           SPECIAL OFFER - Save 10% on all items in the store when you pickup on Friday!

4/20  7:45am On the GFA campus -  Bib & shirt pickup, online registration available 

         8:45am  Free - kids run starts

         9:00am  Start- 5K timed run & walk - all abilities encouraged! Snacks to follow.

        10:00am Awards distribution (or sooner if available) 

               ALL REGISTRATION IS ONLINE INCLUDING RACE DAY! No paper/no cash

5K T-shirt sizing guaranteed through 4/7. After that, sizing ‘as available’ & could be sold out.

 

SHIRT STORE- youth and adult sized shirts will be  available for just $10- must order by 4/7. 

This is a great option for the 'free' kids run participants who do not receive a shirt. And also for adults who'd like extra for friends & family.

5K RACE OR WALK DETAILS
· The participants will be computer timed AND ELIGIBLE for awards. 
· The course is fast and scenic on quiet roads and is accurately measured. 
· There will be a water station at 1.2 miles.
· An event t-shirt is provided to all early entrants (sizes are guaranteed until April 7)

AWARDS PRESENTED BY FLEET FEET OF WESTPORT-

Our top three Male and Female finishers will receive $100, $75 & $50 gift cards. Those winners will be removed from their age groups (below).

Awards (TBD) will be given for the timed 5k- Male and female age groups-  9 & under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
