Drew Russell Memorial Run

The Drew Russell Memorial Run honors Captain Drew Russell, a fallen WMU ROTC alumnus who made the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan. This event, embracing both live and virtual participation, celebrates his legacy and supports an endowed scholarship at Western Michigan University for ROTC Cadets. Captain Russell was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and the Purple Heart posthumously. Participants in the run can compete for medals across various categories, and dogs and strollers are welcomed.
