YMCA Trails and Tails 5k

Join us for a fun, family and furry-friend chip-timed trail running and walking event.  A pet and partner costume contest kicks off the festivities

Proceeds benefit the YMCA of the Roses healthy living programs that support individuals with Alzheimer's Disease, arthritis, cancer, high blood pressure, Parkinson's Disease and prediabetes.

REGISTRATION

Registration opens February 1, 2023 and closes on race day at 8:30 am.
Save $ and register for both the Trails & Tails 5k and the September 23, 2023 Autumn Dash 5k.
Register by April 15 to guarantee a shirt and the lowest price!  Race fee increases on April 16, 2023

  RACE ROUTE

The race takes place on the grass, dirt and macadam Rudy Park 5k cross-country route.  Click here for a digital version via AllTrails.

  AGE DIVISIONS

Male and Female (8-10) (11-14) (15-19) (19-24) (25-29) (30-34) (35-39) (40-44) ( 45-49) (50-54) (55-59) (60 -64 ) (65-69) (70 & over)

  AWARDS

Overall Male and Female Winner plus Male and Female Age Division 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers. 
Awards ceremony will follow the event at 10:00 am.

  FURRY FRIEND REQUIREMENTS

All pets must be licensed and current with immunizations.  Proof of rabies vaccination is required at packet pick-up.  All pets must be leashed and controlled by their human running companion.  Leash length may not exceed 6 feet.

COSTUME CONTEST

Join the costume contest by dressing up with your furry running partner.  5 pet-person couples will win dog-friendly prize baskets.

WATER STATIONS

Water is available at the race start and finish line.  There are not water stations along the 5k route.

 
RACE ROUTE SAFETY

Runner and spectator safety is a priority! 
First aid tent is hosted by WellSpan Health Sports Medicine physicians and sports trainers.
 

STROLLERS

Strollers are allowed, however we encourage running strollers due to the terrain.  
 

RACE DAY PARKING

Parking is available at John Rudy Park.

 
SPECTATORS

Spectators are encouraged!  Come with your enthusiasm and cheer from the sidelines.

RACE CANCELLATION

If you cannot attend the race, please contact the Race Director.  We will make arrangements for you to pick up your packet (and shirt).  Unfortunately, we do not provide refunds or bib transfers.
