RCC Take Flight

Rockingham Community College will host a 5K run/walk across the beautiful campus in Wentworth, North Carolina. After you complete the 5K stay and enjoy food from food trucks, games for the family, and tours of the new workforce development building.

Families are welcome to join! You do not need to register for the 5K to enjoy the activities around campus.

T-Shirt A Custom Medal Finish-Line Snacks  Chip Timing 

Who: 

All runners and walkers are welcome. The course does not have a time limit! You may bring strollers, but please keep all pets at home. 

When: 

September 28th 10:00am 

Where: 

The Workforce Development Center located at Rockingham Community College in Wentworth, N.C. 

Why: 

All proceeds will be donated to the RCC Foundation. This year's donations will specifically go towards the Sarah Evans Scholarship. To read more about the scholarship and the foundation, please see the donation tab. 

More Details: 

Community day events will take place until 1 pm, during which RCC will host campus and community booths, registration for RCC classes, and food. Participation in the 5K race is not required to attend the community day event.

New to running or need a 5K training plan? RCC's Faculty Wellness Committee recommends a free beginner training plan, found here.
