LSR Colombo Marathon

I went first time with my friend from Japan as we heard this is nice country and people from another person in Korea who went last year for this event. It was so good experience as we found the people from the organising company LSR company to be so helpful and friendly. we really enjoyed the run as it was first time run and we enjoyed how the people on road helped all runners with support. after the nice run, we enjoyed 1 week of round trip to cultural area in Sri Lanka very interesting history and also we went to east beach side Passikuda and stayed at very nice resort owned by LSR group. we enjoyed very much water sports and nice beach stay and friendly people. We like this country very much also will go next year to try to run half marathon with some more group of friends.

It was an amazing running experience for me after having run in a few events in Europe. Sri Lanka is such a beautiful country and such friendly people too. The event was well organised by LSR company where everything was looked in to specially for the foreign runners like me who did the half marathon. There was overnight rain but morning of the run was great and enjoyed the event very much. After the event I had the pleasure of enjoying a 8 days round trip of this beautiful country thanks to the organisers LSR who provided special package rates for anyone who was registered for the marathon. The country is just amazing with historical sites,UNESCO heritage sites, the wild life, the tea plantations and the hill country and ending on the white sands beaches. I will go again in 2019 with some friends as this country offers a unique experience to every age and something people will value always.

great route although I did only half marathon

This was my first experience in this beautiful country - Sri Lanka. I have travelled in Asia but Sri Lanka was always on my list and was glad to make it this year on 7th Oct for running this event half marathon. It was a fun filled event ,very well organised by the event owners LSR a reputed company brining tourist to the country as well as a leader in most sports related tourism and adventure events. The Sri Lankan crowd also taking part were nice friendly people and overall as a Country an exotic destination to not only run but explore this beautiful and friendly country. Will be there in 2019 too and good luck

a nice route and race started early morning, which was nice

The arranged time and the venue of the event was helpful since it was easily reachable from anywhere in Colombo.

My first ever 21k. Very difficult conditions. But a lot of help from the home base and friends.
