Euchidios Athlos

At Plataea 2500 years ago, Euchidas, the swift-footed soldier runner, transferred the Delphic flame, marking a point of reference for hundreds of runners who have followed in his footsteps. The tremendous victory of the Hellenic army against the Persians in the battle of Plataea and the accomplishments of Euchidas afterward remain motivation for athletes to take on the challenge of this historical route.
