Barrow Volks Ride

The Barrow Volksride in Salado, Texas is an annual event that takes place on the third Saturday in October. This ride offers routes of 16 miles, 32 miles, 66 miles, or 100 miles through the beautiful Central Texas hill country. Participants will start and finish at Barrow Brewing Company, enjoying scenic roads from Holland to Belton and Nolanville. The routes are challenging, with the 66 and 100 mile options featuring over 2500' of climb. Volunteers from the Salado Volunteer Fire Department and the Sheriff's office will assist riders throughout the course. After the ride, participants can celebrate at an Oktoberfest event with German food, music, and games, along with craft beer. Registration includes a souvenir t-shirt (if registered by September 30th), a pint, and a hot pretzel. Safety is a top priority, with requirements for all riders to wear a helmet and display their assigned bib number.
