5k Run the Fairway Festival

Join us for a gorgeous Run on the Fairways at the Kingsmill Resort River Golf Course overlooking the historic James River! ___________________________________________________
5k route; Back 9 holes of the renowned River Golf Course. 5K RunnersAll 5k runners and walkers must be on-site NLT 7:45 AM.All runners will receive a finishers medal.This is an officially timed race.If any social distancing requirements are in place, we will have Waves of 25 runners each from fastest to slowest. 5 Minute separation between waves. We will move Waves and or runners up depending on the number of participants present and the weather. We will not start Wave one before 8:00 AM. ___________________________________________________ Mini Fun Run (1-Mile) is sure to be a family favorite along the 18th Fairway with amazing fairway and James River views. Mini Fun Run RunnersAll runners will receive a finishers medal.This is not an officially timed race. Start time is 9:00 AM.If any social distancing requirements are in place, we will have waves of 25 Runners and walkers.  
___________________________________________________ We are kicking off our Spring event with this beautiful run and celebrating healthy living as the Kingsmill Resort reveals the Grand Opening of their new Sports Club! Come out to enjoy the run and get a tour of the new Kingsmill Sports Club! Whether you are running for distance, best-time, or a relaxing run-walk-jog, this event is for you! The Golf course is the perfect venue to bring awareness to how the golf course turfgrass (natural grass) contributes to our Health, Environment, and Recreation safety. When you run-walk-jog through this beautiful route, you will see and feel how unique this event really is! ___________________________________________________ All proceeds benefit Turfgrass Research and Programs managed by the Virginia Tech School of Plant and Environmental Sciences. 

Any additional donations made support the Virginia Turfgrass Foundation Endowment Fund which supports long-term funding of turfgrass research managed by the Virginia Tech Turfgrass Team. The Virginia Turfgrass Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that promotes the benefits of natural grass by funding research to preserve, transform, and improve the environment throughout the commonwealth and beyond.  All donations and sponsorships are 100% tax deductible.
