Stepping for Life 5K

Join us for the Stepping for Life 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Meade County Fairgrounds in Brandenburg.

Time: Race begins at 9:00 AM

Packet Pickup: Starts at 8:00 AM on race morning

  Our Cause:

The Stepping for Life 5K Walk/Run is not just about fitness and fun; it's about supporting a cause that truly matters. All proceeds from this event will go toward the Safe Haven Baby Boxes initiative. Safe Haven Baby Boxes is dedicated to preventing the illegal abandonment of newborns by raising awareness, offering a 24-hour hotline for mothers in crisis, and providing Safe Haven Baby Boxes as a last-resort option for women who want to maintain complete anonymity while ensuring the safety of their newborns.

  Race Awards:

We'll celebrate the achievements of our participants with awards and medals:

Overall Finishers: The top 3 male and female overall finishers will receive special awards.

Age Group Finishers: Medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups:

10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over

    Supporting Safe Haven Baby Boxes:

Safe Haven Baby Boxes provide a lifeline for mothers in crisis under Kentucky's Safe Haven Law. These specially designed safety devices are installed in the exterior walls of designated fire stations, EMS facilities, and hospitals. When a newborn is placed inside, the exterior door locks automatically, ensuring the baby's security. Medical staff can then safely retrieve the surrendered newborn from inside the designated building.

By participating in the Stepping for Life 5K Walk/Run, you are embarking on a memorable athletic journey and contributing to a cause that can save lives and offer hope to those in need.

  About Meade-Breck Right To Life

The Meade-Breck Right To Life is a grassroots organization founded over 40 years ago, whose mission is to promote respect for the sanctity of all innocent life from conception to natural death. We accomplish this by legally educating legislators, the media, youth, voters, and all other members of the public to the truth of the dignity and worth of each human life and the issues pertaining to this truth.

Since conception, Meade-Breck Right To Life members have been actively involved in supporting women and their families, such as supporting Clarity Solutions, the pregnancy resource centers located in Radcliff and Elizabethtown. Now, more than ever, with the overturn of Roe v Wade in June of 2022, providing support to women and their families is important.

Our community efforts in 2023 included booths at the Breckinridge and Meade Counties fairs, partnering with Barr Signs to place the Safe Haven Law billboard on Hwy 1638, and continued support of Clarity Solutions.

Donations can be picked up from your place of business or dropped off to Stephanie Stone at PPC, 1000 Armory Rd in Brandenburg. Please make checks payable to Meade Breck Right to Life.
Friends of Safe Haven Boxes -Meade County - $25.00-$50.00 donation- your name will be listed on the FB page.
Bronze Level- $100.00 donation-name listed on our FB page and on the back of shirt.
Silver Level- $250.00 donation includes your name on the FB page, name on the back of the race shirt and a sign on the race course.
Gold Level-$500.00 donation includes your name on the FB page, name or logo on back of shirt, name mentioned at race and sign on race course and 2 free registrations.
Platinum Level-$1000.00 donation includes all of the above and will be a key sponsor and named on all advertisements + 4 free registrations.
Donations of cases of water, bananas, or items that you would like to donate to go into the registration bags for the participants.
