Gear up for an exhilarating challenge in the "Valley of the Sun" as the streets of the Phoenix-Scottsdale-Tempe area welcome up to 30,000 passionate runners, walkers, and wheelchair athletes. Dive into the dynamic experience of the P.F. Chang’s Rock & Roll Arizona Marathon & Half Marathon, a highly anticipated event where over 15,000 half marathoners cross the finish line annually.This thrilling race, renowned for its lively atmosphere, now features a redesigned out-and-back loop that kicks off and wraps up near the Arizona State University campus. Tackle the course as it winds through the vibrant locales of Tempe and Scottsdale, offering runners the unique opportunity to cross the Salt River twice and race through Eldorado Park as well as the scenic expanse of Papago Park.

Boosting the energy on the course, live bands will be stationed approximately every other mile, complemented by spirited cheerleading squads from local high schools and a sea of enthusiastic spectators urging you on to the finish line, located in the ASU campus parking lot just outside Sun Devil Stadium.

Perfect for both newcomers and seasoned athletes, this race offers a smooth and fast course, ideal for first-time marathoners and half-marathoners. The gradual elevation gain, with only about 150 feet increase over the first 10 miles of the half marathon, makes it a welcoming and attainable challenge. Additionally, the event includes a relay race option for two-person teams, offering a chance to share the excitement with a partner.
