Outdoor Immersion's Resilient Service Members Classic

ABOUT THE RACE:

The Resilient Service Member Classic 50K is a challenging trail race in Raccoon Creek State Park, Pennsylvania that provides you a way to support our veteran and military service members as fundraisers for the outdoor adventure, recreation and fitness programs of the non-profit, Outdoor Immersion. A 20 Miler and 5K Walk/Run course are also available in the beautiful and challenging environs of this Southwestern PA park. 

MISSION and PURPOSE:

We are a Veteran Community Care organization that forms enduring relationships with veterans, helping refresh resilience and move them from isolation to community through time and adventurous activity in God’s creation.  

REGISTRATION:

We need heroes like you who appreciate the sacrifices made by our veterans and their families to serve our country and the cause of liberty around the world.   We are looking for heroes  who want to serve by running in the beauty of Creation, or volunteering to assist us in carrying out this mission. Resilience of body, mind, and spirit are needed no matter what your position in life, and Outdoor Immersion requests your support to encourage continued resilience in our veteran and military communities.

Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups are as follows:

18 and under19-2930-4041-5051-6061-7071+

Individuals can fundraise and if they meet the minimum for their race distance their registration fee is waived. Minimum is $250 for 50k, $200 for 20 miler and $100 for 5k. 

RACE ROUTES:

5k is and out and back, and appropriate for walkers or runners. There is one water station halfway through the race. 50K and 20 Miler routes are primarily single-track with a wide variety of terrain, as well as some hills. The 50k has six aid stations, and the 20 mile route has 5. All three races will begin at the Recreation Hall. 

RACE DAY DETAILS:

Packet pickup details will be forthcoming but will be at the Recreation Hall at Raccoon Creek State Park. (The address for Raccoon Creek State Park is 3000 State Route 18, Hookstown, PA 15050, which will take you to the park office. Pull onto that road, and follow Cabin Road back towards the left to the Rec Hall.) 
Race day festivities will include a presentation of Colors, performance of the National Anthem and stories from local veterans. Post-race hospitality will be held inside and outside of the Recreation Hall.
