Marilla Spring Classic Road Race - Buffalo Bicycling Club

Welcome to the Marilla Spring Classic Road Race 2024

The Buffalo Bicycling Club is opening our USAC Sanctioned season with the Marilla Spring Classic Road Race!  This course is a racer-favorite, so we're starting the year off right!   Held on a rolling loop with some short, punchy rollers and an uphill sprint finish.  As part of the Buffalo Bicycling Club's commitment to grow women's cycling, all women's fields at our USAC sanctioned events are free of charge!

We intend on running this early season race as a no-frills USA Cycling sanctioned race.  All racers who earn USA Cycling upgrade points based on their field size (Top 3 if 5-10 starters, Top 6 if 11-20 starters, Top 7 if 21-49 starters, Top 9 if 50-69 starters, Top 11 if 70+ starters) will be placed immediately in the results, with others receiving a "DNP- did not place" status.  Safety is a top priority for the Buffalo Bicycling Club, and all corners will be properly marshalled and marked.

8:30 AM to 11:30 AMNO day of race registration.The promoter reserves the right to combine categories due to insufficient entries or shorten races due to time constraints.Any field with <5 riders will be combined with another to allow riders to compete for USAC upgrade points. 

Podiums: Will take place as soon as feasible after the protest period is completed for each category.

Is this your first race?  Welcome!  Here are some things to expect:

During sign-up, if you don't already have an annual USAC racing license, you'll need to purchase a one-day license here on Bikereg during the ordering process.  Canadians require an international UCI license to compete in USA Cycling events.Please plan to arrive 60 minutes early on race day to get into your riding clothes and get your bike readyHead over to the registration tent to get your race number and pin it on your jersey according to the instructions,head out on the bike get a few pedal strokes in the legs to warm upLine up in the Marilla Town Park parking lot 5 minutes before your Category’s race time.  Your race will do a neutral rollout from 3 Rod Rd to the start line on Eastwood Rd and your race will begin!After your race, head back to the parking lot to check on the results.  You have a 15-minute protest period until results are official.  Follow the instructions of the chief referee.
