Madeira Swimrun

Located in the Atlantic ocean, the island of Madeira is known for its pleasant climate and temperate ocean waters, making it ideal for outdoor adventurers looking for a challenge.

The annual Madeira Swimrun event offers an exciting route beginning near Ponta de São Lourenço, an iconic spot for locals and travelers alike. Participants will traverse the pleasant trails of Caniçal, ascending the Pico do Facho, before making their way to the city of Machico. Along the way, they will encounter the wild waters of Prainha and Ribeira do Natal.

The local Ludens Machico club and the Regional Triathlon Association of Madeira oversee the event's organization, ensuring a successful and enjoyable experience for all participants.
