Presented by Nike Trail, the Gnar Gnar is a fun and breathtaking race that will send you up to the top of Mt. Hood Skibowl and then right back down in a more direct way. You can expect all the muscles in your legs to be screaming at you, and a giant grin on your face the whole time.
It is a very spectator and family-friendly event, so your fans can watch you going up and coming down the mountain. The whole course is 6 miles, with just over 1,900 feet of gain.

This is a pretty simple 6-mile race course. You go up the mountain and then you come down. Simple. But kinda hard.
Runners start out running up the Gnar Gnar trail. Yes, it’s gnarly steep. About a mile up, you’ll head over on the Low Road for 1.5 miles. Then it is up again, on Horse Trail and Skyline Road to the top. You’ll take in the stunning view of Mt. Hood before heading down on the Sunrise Trail and then it’s back down Gnar Gnar to the finish.
