Welcome to the 16th Annual Brake the Cycle of Poverty
fundraising event for Friend, Inc. Community Services!
Ride the most scenic routes in Berks County as you join a community of riders dedicated to changing the world for people living in poverty one pedal stroke at a time. Feel the extraordinary support and excitement throughout the journey as we come together to reach our goal—Braking the Cycle of Poverty.
The Ride features four routes that offer something for everyone, from weekend warriors to hard-core endurance cyclists. Each distance features breath-taking views, fearsome mountain climbs, rolling hills, winding backroads, SAG support and well-marked roads.
4 breathtaking courses: 62 mile Metric Century that offers a ride through 2 of the covered bridges in Berks County, a 40 mile rolling hills ride that crosses two county covered bridges, 25 miles of winding backroads, and a 10 mile easy scenic ride (no fearsome mountain climbs!) perfect for beginners and families too.
Date and Location: Saturday August 9, 2025 Start and finish location, Rickenbach Learning Center at Kutztown University, 250 College Blvd. Kutztown, PA 19530
Schedule: Register NOW – Check in starts at 7am day of the ride.
Register by July 10th and get a t-shirt, otherwise as supplies last.
Day of Registration increases to $50 a rider.
