adidas Stockholm Marathon

Le marathon est superbe, ce n’est pas un parcours roulant mais il est magnifique 🤩 l’arrivée dans un stade olympique est grandiose!! Néanmoins j’ai fait plusieurs demandes à l’organisation pour me valider mon chrono, car ma puce est tombé en panne et n’a pas fonctionné tout le long et pourtant ma montre, les photos et mes passages prouvent que j’ai couru tout le marathon et pas de retour 😫😫☀️

Great route, well organized and pretty nice medal. Good vibes from the swedish people on the sidelines. Love that they sold food and drinks near the start line. (It kinda saved my bad preparation in the morning for my run).

I ran Stockholm Marathon 2023 and 2024. I love the atmosphere, the crowds and the beautiful city. I will run again next year.

It was my 108th Marathon, and definitely the worst one. On a very hot day, with the Marathon starting at noon, the organizers didn't provide enough water. At least at half of the water stations, volunteers apologized "Sorry, no more water!". At one point, I ran into the Radisson Hotel to get some water there. Every runner around me looked severely dehydrated, many started walking at around 15K. I stopped running and walked from the 30km (which never happens to me), and luckily didn't end up in a hospital. So sad!

2023 was great so I came back for 2024 and was very disappointed. They moved the start time to noon this year when it was in the 80s. Why? Do they could register or sign up people the day of the race. What major world class marathon does that? No food or bottles of water were provided before the race, you had to buy it. We stood in the hot sun for an hour waiting to start while loud electro-dance music thumped away. Then they kept wanting us to cheer the fact that they had a 1000 more people than last year. That was good news for them, bad news for us. Half the water stations were out of water. You could stop running, stand on a line and wait your turn as a little kid dunked a cup in a bucket of water then handed it to you and forget about your race time, or keep running and hope you don’t collapse before getting to the next water station and trying your luck there. At one point I was so desperate I dunked a cup in the bucket meant for dunking your hat. (I got sick a few days later and it was probably from that.) when you finish you are walking and walking till finally someone hands you a warm bottle of water. When you’re back to the staging area there’s plenty of food and drink but almost no garbage cans for some reason. Trash is everywhere around the two trash cans for 20,000 people. Getting my bag back took awhile, because although they had enough people to help, that was badly organized as well. Stay away from this marathon till they get their act back together.

Die Strecke des Stockholm-Marathons ist wegen ihrer 340 Höhenmeter recht anspruchsvoll. Gleichzeitig ist sie oft nicht allzu breit und - insbesondere im ersten Teil - mit Stolperfallen übersät. Entspanntes Laufen fällt hier schwer. Es gibt einige Stimmungsnester, aber ansonsten ist die Stimmung am Rand der Strecke eher durchschnittlich. Die Organisation ist solide, aber das kann man bei dem hohen Startgebühren ja auch erwarten. At the same time, it is often not too wide and - especially in the first part - littered with tripping hazards. Relaxed running is difficult here. There are a couple of atmospheric nests, but otherwise the atmosphere along the route is rather average. The organization is solid, but you can expect that with the high entry fees. I absolutely loved every step of this race, even the hard ones. Flat course, no hills to be mentioned, great fuel and liquid stations and over all a lovely experience of a first marathon!

Very hot, not well organised about the water supply at control points, wonderful view and amazing crowds are only the parts to motivate

Distance would not be a problem if the route was well organised. They were not successful to supply the most important fuel(water) for a huge group of runners, which is critical in such a weather. Should have been predicted before the race, by analysing this great number of participants.

A destacar la organización de la carrera; la recogida de dorsal, los avituallamientos en un día tan caluroso y la zona habilitada al finalizar la carrera. Carrera más exigente de lo que pensaba pero bonito recorrido.

El circuito es más exigente de lo esperado. Hay un tramo continuo con bastante desnivel. El tiempo no ayudó a disfrutar de la carrera, demasiado calor. Pero en general, el circuito está muy bien, alguna zona bastante estrecha pero sin problema.

Good organisation! Hilly course, but a really nice city.

Too hot and with some up/down-hill

Management ran out of finisher medals. I would have been very nice if everyone finisher got their medal at the finish line.

The track was good and enjoyable.

El recorrido es muy bonito, pero deberían mejorar los carteles que anuncian los avituallamientos, ponerlos unos 100 metros antes con altura para que se vean de ambos lados (derecha e izquierda).

Se hizo un poco pesada la distancia con tanto sol.

Well organized race in a beautiful city. The course not tipically flat- but quite okay. Maybe not the best for PB. Nice athmosphere- i can recommend for everybody

An incredible finale in the Olympic Stadium. On the other hand, the streets are not entirely blocked to cars. Very unpleasant to run with cars in front. Lack of garbage cans to dispose of water cups (risk of falls). Steep gradients between the 25th and 38th km.
