LIVE OUT LOUD Memorial Ride

Looking for a fun way to spin the legs and catch up with friends, old and new? Look no further than the 4th annual LIVE OUT LOUD Memorial Ride, sponsored by the Turtle Effect Foundation.

CELEBRATE the inspiring life of our beloved Theodore “TURTLE” Wilson. Lover of family, bikes, friends, teammates, good food and drink, and LIVING OUT LOUD -- TURTLE made friends around the WORLD and always strove to DO better, BE better, and to MAKE OTHERS BETTER in everything they did.

**LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS to help lead The Gravel loop in order to have multiple groups set up for various speeds with multiple regrouping, typically at corners. Register for the “volunteer” option and we will contact you.

All riders are advised to download the map. and be self-sufficient.

We will be parking at the Greenland Open Space trailhead to choose from an easy scenic loop in the meadows, or heading out to explore gravel roads West of the highway. At 7,000+ feet altitude, you're bound to breath a little harder!

Or you can choose to ride from wherever you are, whenever and whatever the distance.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! 

We will meet up afterwards for lunch at Larkspur's "Spur of the Moment" Bar and Grill, where there will be entertainment by our own Ashley, stories told, a raffle of Turtle-goodies, and prizes awarded.

The TURTLE Effect Foundation (TEF) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization.

TEF's mission is to perpetuate Theodore “TURTLE” Wilson’s drive to help others persevere through their challenges in order to achieve their potential and to share their own gifts with confidence in a “pay it forward” manner.

TEF strives to accomplish this in two main ways:

Empowering talented and dedicated elite cyclists to pursue their goals through the annual bikeROCKstar scholarship. Cycling was a passion of Turtle Wilson’s, and one he shared with vigor among his friends and community. Through the Lt Col Theodore TURTLE Wilson Falcon Scholarship --an annual scholarship as part of a larger Falcon Foundation Scholarship which supports motivated young people seeking admission to United States Air Force Academy and subsequent career in the Air Force.
