EVENT INFO
In the past 8 years, the Hero Hustle 5K (formerly the DBK 5K) has raised over $80,000 for the Kruid Charitable Foundation, with over 2500 runners. Join our 8th Annual Hero Hustle 5K, a family fun run/walk event. The first 600 participants are guaranteed a custom race medal, race bib, and race t-shirt. The Hero Hustle 5K is professionally chipped and timed. Awards will be given to the overall top 3 finishers, top male and female master, and top 3 age groups for male and female participants. The event after-party will feature a family fun area, water slides, adult beverages, DJ, and snacks.

DAY OF EVENT SCHEDULE
6:30 am – Day of Registration Opens - Packet Pick-up Opens
7:30 am - 5K Run/Walk
8:20 am - 100 meters Kids Fun Run - Kids get a finisher medal - FREE 
8:45 am – Awards
9:00 am - Party!

SHIRTS
Each Registered 5K Runner will receive a race shirt. Sizes are not guaranteed for registrations on race day. 

TIMING & SCORING
The Hero Hustle 5K is professionally chipped and timed. Awards will be given to the overall top 3 finishers, top male and female masters, and top 3 age groups for male and female participants. Age groups are as follows:
9 & under,10-14,15-19,20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60-64,65-69,70-74,75-79,80+

PARKING
Please park in the industrial area behind DBK; off Springview Commerce Drive.

How long is the course?              
There is a 5K course, which is 3.1 miles in the beautiful surrounding DeBary neighborhoods.

How will I be timed?  
There will be a clock and chip timing at the finish line to view your time.

Who gets a shirt? 
Only pre-registered runners that successfully complete the registration and payment process are guaranteed a free race shirt. Several additional shirts will be printed for the race.

I will be out of town on race day and not be able to participate. Can I get my money returned?
We appreciate your race registration. As the race brochure states, we are unable to issue refunds. All entries are non-refundable.

Will the race be held if it's raining?
The race is a "rain or shine" event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a raincoat or hat. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others, so please do not bring them.   

Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
We have a strict NO TRANSFER policy.

What if I am signed up after the first 600 runners, will I get a customized medal?
No, you will not receive a DBK custom medal and bib. You will however receive a normal medal.
