LVRC Race for Peace

The Carrera por la Paz, or Race for Peace, is a 5K Run/Walk Event organized by the Little Village Rotary Club to promote Peace and anti-violence programs in Chicago’s Little Village and surrounding communities.

Race for Peace 2022 will have competitive and non-competitive 5K in-person events. Only the competitive 5K in-person event will qualify runners for the cash prizes. All of the 5K in-person events will qualify runners for the age group and gender awards. Awards will not be doubled up, so cash prize winners will not be eligible for age group and gender awards.

Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three runners, both men and women categories.
Award medals will be given to the top runners in various age & gender categories.
All registered runners will receive a finisher medal and Race Day event t-shirt.

The race will be chip-timed on a certified 5K course (IL21011NM). We are committed to ensuring everyone enjoys a safe experience on race day. In-person and virtual registration options are available.

COVID-19 guidelines will be in place and enforced in adherence to City of Chicago guidelines to ensure a safe running environment.
