Military Child 5K Run/Walk

The Raleigh Alpha Lambda Chapter of Kappa Epsilon Psi Military Sorority, Inc. is proud to present the 1st Annual Military Child 5K Run & Walk on Saturday April 29, 2023. The race will start and finish at the green way at The Legends Park Green way located at 550 City Rd. in Clayton, NC. The 5K starts at 9:00 am.  There will be nutritional snacks and water provided after the race.  First 100 registered will receive a participation medal.

Purpose:

That we as a military sorority recognize that April is the month of the Military Child and that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Our Military Kids, a non-profit organization that provides extra-curricular grants to children of military families.  Help us Purple Up for Our Military Kids. Entry Fees:  

This is a timed race. All walk/runner competitive and recreational participants are welcome to attend. Only the Top eight men, Top eight women and Top 6 Juniors will be eligible for a race award.  Entry fee for participants  Juniors ages 17 and under $15;  Adults ages 18 and up $30.

Packet Pick up

Pre-registered entrants can pick up their packets at the Start/Finish Line in the Legends Park Greenway entrance beginning at 7:30 am.- 8:30 am.

Course

Start your Walk/run from the Legends Park Greenway with its rolling course and greenways. While walking or running the course takes a short tour on the Sam’s Branch Greenway. It starts and finishes on the Legends Park Greenway. There will be one water stop on the course near the 1 1/2-mile mark and each mile will be marked.

The results for the competitive 5K participants will be posted at the event and also on www.

Post-Race Party

All participants are invited to join us after the race to enjoy music, nutritional snacks, and water.
