Viking 5K-A Memorial Run for Captain Michael "Buzzy" Andersen

Join us in celebrating Captain Michael “Buzzy” Andersen's life. Buzzy was a dedicated member of the Cortland City Fire Department and a passionate athlete who loved running and canoeing. He played a vital role in coordinating and certifying events, and initiated the Cortland Pumpkin Run. In honoring his memory, we aim to raise awareness of the challenges firefighters face, including health risks like cancer. The event will take place at the Fire Department on Court Street, featuring a scenic route through Cortland's hills and campus. Day of registrations are welcome, with cash payments accepted.
