Race for Wellness (5K run and 1 mile walk) - Salisbury, MD

Presented by the WCPS Employee Wellness Committee.

This event is for all WCPS employees and their families and friends. Registration is FREE for EVERYONE! You must complete a separate registration for each participant, including children.

Event activities include door prizes, giveaways, chair massages, snacks, and awards for 5k runners. NEW THIS YEAR: Reflexology and fun activities for families. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards for Male and Female in these categories: Overall winners and in age groups 19 and under, 20 - 39, 40 - 59, and 60 and up.

WellAware participants can earn 500 points for participating!!!

Sequence of events (times from 6:15 on are approximate)
4 - 5pm     Check-in (online registrants)/Registration (walk-ins)
4 - 7pm     Activities (chair massage, reflexology, corn hole, putt putt, fitness Jenga, 
                   music, etc.)
5:15pm     Pre-run/walk announcements & warm up
5:30pm     Run begins (walkers follow)
6:15pm     1st round of door prize drawings (winners must pick up prizes themselves 
                   before 6:45pm)
6:30pm     5K Awards ceremony & more prize drawings
6:45pm     Last call for prize winners
7:00pm     Event ends

Where to go once in the park
Please follow the orange numbers in sequence on the site map below. After you've deposited your raffle ticket, you are welcome to go to any other area to participate in those activities, before and/or after your run/walk.

 Misc. notes
Walkers: Be sure to stay out of the way of runners especially at the finish line, where we ask you to please stay to the right & leave room on the left for runners to pass.
A limited number of snacks & water will be available.
This event is rain or shine & will not be cancelled unless the route is unsafe or there's lightning. If the weather looks questionable, be sure to check the WellAware Facebook page for updates.
