About the event

Along the shepherd's paths above the underground dwellings of the human fish, past the mysterious castle hill Sovič, along the paths of the karst forests and through the old town center - all this is the experience of a Postojna run. Welcome!

The start of the 25km trail race will be at 8:00 a.m. on Tito Square.

The start of the run is on the main square in Postojna, the route immediately climbs the city hill Sovič. It continues rather cross-country in the silence of the karst forests along the forest roads and paths of the Postojna Gmajna to the village of Studeno. Here is the first snack bar (8 km) . From here follows the first serious challenge - the climb to St. Lovrenc (2.5 km, 400 m above sea level), where we can enjoy a wonderful view in the direction of the Postojna and Cerkniška basins (Snežnik, Slivnica, Javorniki, Vremščica, Nanos). With St. Lovrenca is followed by a steep descent to the saddle, and then another steep ascent (1 km, 200 m) to the sprawling peak of Špilnik, where traces of the icefall from 2014 are still visible. This is followed by a descent into the valley almost to the village of Strmca, where we also visit the church of Maria Snežna. We take a moment to relax in the shade of the surrounding trees, as there is another refreshment bar (16 km) . From here, cross-country again along the forest paths back to Postojna. After 4 kilometers we arrive at the idyllic camp Pivka jama, in the middle of the karst landscape with caves and chasms. There is a snack bar at the entrance to the camp (20 km) , and with this the route also joins the Zmajeve dezteka route. The continuation of the partly asphalt, partly macadam path winds from the camp back towards Ravbarkomanda. We turn behind the barracks and head back towards Sovič hill. At Sovič, turn right onto Borojevičevo pot. The western side of Sovič offers a beautiful view of the town of Postojna. We go down the stairs to Majlont, where after a sharp turn we run to the destination.

The start of the 10km run will be at 10:00 on Tito Square.

The route starts through the old town of Majlont and joins the trim track below the Sovič hill. Follow the trim trail to Čukovca, where you will cross the macadam path towards Pivka jama. After about 2 km we reach the main road that leads to the Pivka Cave camp. The asphalt base accompanies us through the lush forest to the idyllic camp, where a snack bar will be set up. The other half of the partly asphalt, partly macadam path winds from the camp back towards Ravbarkomanda. We turn behind the barracks and head back towards the Sovič hill. We cross the hill and descend steeply towards Mylont, where we have only a few hundred meters along the picturesque old town to the finish.

The start of the 5km run will be at 10:15 on Tito Square.

The route starts through the old town of Majlont and joins the trim track below the Sovič hill. Follow the trim trail to Čukovca, where you will cross the macadam path towards Pivka jama. After a slight descent, the route turns left onto a path towards Veliki otok, just above the village we start returning along the path of the shepherd Jakob back to the trim path below Sovič. The return follows the back of Sovič to Majlon and then along the picturesque old town to the finish.

The children's runs will take place at 9:00 on the renovated Tržaška cesta.

Pre-registrations until August 19 2024.
