Huntington Tails & Trails Festival with 5K & 1 Mile

It's tails. It's trails. It's the Huntington Tails & Trails Festival, where there is something for everyone, including man's best friend. Huntington Tails & Trails will feature a 5K and 1 Mile Dog Walk.  The event will be held at Evergreen Park on Saturday, October 5.

Sign up for the 5K or 1 Mile Run/Walk (both dog friendly), that will use the scenic Erie Trail.

If running isn’t your thing, then be sure to join us for several festival activities before and after the race. There will be Food Trucks, Market Shops, a Scavenger Hunt, Trick or treating with vendors, a Costume Contest for Humans & their four-legged companions, a dog lure course,  & disc dog play. 

Those who sign up for the race before September 22 are guaranteed a race shirt. There is something for everyone so dust off those running shoes and lawn chairs and come out and join us.

The event is hosted by HARTA (Huntington Area Recreational Trails Association) & the Huntington County Humane Society. Proceeds from event registrations and sponsors will support more trail amenities, trail signage, lifesaving medical care, spays, and neuters for shelter animals.

EACH PAID ENTRY RECEIVES
Each human participant will receive a t-shirt and each doggie participant will receive a doggie goodie bag.

Advance Registration - $20 before the day of.
Day of registration- $30

RULES:

All dogs must be kept on a 6-foot leash (no extractable) and under the direct supervision of an adult.All dog waste must be picked up. Bags will be made available.All dogs brought to the event must be current on vaccinations (including rabies).All dogs must have current identification tags.PLEASE KEEP ALL DOGS AT LEAST 3FT AWAY FROM OTHER DOGS, UNLESS THEY ARE THE SAME GROUP

The Race is not timed.
