VIM Fit Fest 5K Color Run

VIM Fit Fest is a free community wellness event hosted by VIM Clinic in partnership with the City of Stuart happening on Saturday October 23, 2021 at Flagler Park in downtown Stuart. The goal is to encourage, engage, and educate the community on services and activities available to improve personal health and wellness. VIM Fit Fest will include a virtual component called VIM Fit Fest Quest, a 5K Color Run, and a wellness fair featuring vendors and presentations from local health-related businesses and organizations. 

The event will kick off with an exciting 5K Color Run. The Color Run is a fun dash looping through downtown Stuart starting and ending at Flagler Park. There will be multiple color stations where volunteers will toss colored powder onto the t-shirts of passing runners making the run a festive occasion. The multi-colored powder is food-grade corn-starch dyed with food coloring which is safe for people, animals, and the environment. Racers can by-pass the color stations if they choose. Volunteers are directed to toss the powder only onto the t-shirt, however race packets will include sunglasses and masks for the racer's protection. At the end of the race, runners will have a t-shirt with a tie-dyed appearance in a rainbow of colors. Instructions for setting the colors or removing them from the t-shirt post-race will be included in the race packet.

This is a family-friendly event with prizes awarded for fastest Male & Female Overall, Male & Female Masters and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each of the following age divisions: 10 & younger, 11 – 14, 15 – 19, 20 – 24, 25 – 29, 30 – 34, 35 – 39, 40 – 44, 45 – 49, 50 – 54, 55 – 59, 60 – 64, 65 – 69, 70 – 74, and 75+. All finishers will receive a commemorative item and goodie bag. Snacks and water will be provided. Course set up and timing provided by race expert Mike Melton and his team with MCM Timing & Race Results.
