The Scandinavian School's Viking Run

Join us for a morning of fun in Golden Gate Park!    Get ready for the activities, costumes, great raffle prizes, food court treats & picnic as well as a friendly run/walk competition. Viking Run is back for another year! 
  SSCC´s Viking Run - a fundraiser for the school - features 
For adults: 5K or 2K walk/run 
For Youth 7-14 years: 5K or 2K walk/run  For Youth 4-7 years: 200 yards
For Children 2-3 years: 80 yards   Bring your friends, family and anyone you know with you - Run or walk or just join for the activities and picnic - the choice is yours.
  In addition to running as an individual, collect a group of family or friends to create a team (3-6 persons per team, all running the same length). Your individual times will be combined and the fastest team will win.    Itinerary: 7:30 AM Registration opens
8:15 AM Warm-up with Coach Tilda  8:30 AM The race begins for 5K and 2K runners! First runners, then walkers and strollers. 9:30 AM Kids dash (80 yrds 2-3 years, 200 yrds 4-7 years) 10:00 Best costumes and runners announced.

Location :

The Pioneer Log Cabin picnic area in Golden Gate Park , located on 2 Blue Heron Lake Drive, the south side – right after it splits off from John F. Kennedy Drive. Please find a map here   .  

When driving to the picnic area, travel on Blue Heron Lake Drive. Keep in mind that cars are not allowed on John F. Kennedy Drive, but free parking is available along Blue Heron Lake Drive or Martin Luther King Jr Drive.

Please allow ample time to find parking and to check in at the registration which opens at 7:30AM.
