The High Bridge Mile

The 2024 Tour of High Bridge Criterium featuring The High Bridge Mile will bring a party to the streets of High Bridge along with an international field of top professional and amateur cyclists . . . and this year runners . . . on what may prove to be one of the most spectator-friendly and challenging courses around!

This year's inaugural High Bridge Mile running race will see runners tackle one full lap of the race course, battling up the 18% gradient of Mill Street as part of a challenging course that concludes with a Main St. finish just like the cyclists for a total of 1.3 miles with that little extra distance and elevation that make it a true “High Bridge" mile!

So, join us on Saturday, August 10 for the High Bridge Mile as a part of Tour of High Bridge Criterium. The bars and cafes will be open, music will be playing and the party will be happening all along the course. Come and race and be part of the spectacle or grab a beverage of your choice and stroll the course to take it all in, or better yet, both!

COURSE: 1.3 mile, paved, 11-turn, HILLY course with 160 ft. of climbing per lap (!!) that starts and finishes on Main St. of High Bridge, NJ. Very spectator friendly with many spots on course offering multiple viewing points. Open containers will be permitted for spectators along the entire circuit. This year will see the return of the Mill St. “Wall” that made the old Tour of High Bridge cycling event one of the hardest road races in the state.

START TIMES: Racing begins at 12:10 pm.  All races to follow.

REGISTRATION:  No additional day of registration fee. Located at Scout’s Coffee Bar & Mercantile, 11 Main St., High Bridge, NJ. Additional online fees apply.  Pre-registration is strongly encouraged!  

PARKING: There will be two parking locations on opposite sides of the course: 

Union Forge Park, 1 Washington Ave., High Bridge, NJ (Recommended if coming from the South on Route 31 or from Route 78 via Annandale)

High Bridge Elementary School, 40 Fairview Ave., High Bridge NJ ((Recommended if coming the North on Route 31 or 513)

NO PARKING AT START/FINISH OR INSIDE COURSE CLOSURE. 

NOTES:  Prize list for Men and Women will be based off of entries for each category.  Rain or shine event. No refunds.

Please respect the community and keep off residential property. Use discretion when changing, use porta potties, discard all trash.
