Team ROAR 5K / 1-Mile Walk

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset is proud to present the 4th Annual Team ROAR 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk for the Donna M. Karlis Memorial Fund on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater, NJ!

The goal of the event is to raise funds to support those who are living with metastatic breast cancer (MBC) and for MBC research that we hope will one day help change the disease to a chronic illness rather than a deadly one. 

The Donna M. Karlis Memorial Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  The fund was established in memory of Bridgewater resident Donna M. Karlis, who passed away after a courageous and inspiring battle with metastatic breast cancer in 2017 at age 42.

Proceeds will benefit the Somerset Health Care Foundation and METAvivor Research and Support.

EVENT DETAILS:

Team ROAR 5K Run & 1-Mile Walk is a USATF sanctioned event and features face painting, arts & crafts, refreshments and DJ entertainment.

Schedule:

     8:30 a.m. - Check-in / Registration

     9:30 a.m. - 5K Run start

     9:35 a.m. - 1-Mile Walk start

     **Awards immediately following the race

Entry Fee:

     $30 - Register by Oct. 1

     $35 - Registration after Oct. 1

     **Register by Oct. 15 to guarantee a race t-shirt

Course/Timing:

     Duke Island Park is a USATF certified 5K course. Timing and scoring by CompuScore

Prizes:

     Awards will be given to the top three male and female overall 5K finishers; and top male and female finishers in various age groups.
