Poorly managed no proper hydration available, physio is not accessible right after the run and u need to walk 1.5 km more to reach it... overall very disappointing and wouldn’t opt for it again. Not sure where all the money paid is being spent along with the sponsors.

i have been running Chennai Marathon since 2014. This is the first time i attempted FM and that also without practice. It was a great route and i dint feel any pain as there were pacers who guided us through out the roue. The crowd were very cheerful and the route was very scenic. I did complete the race with good timing but hope i would improve it with good practice next year. The event was very well organized.

This is my first run in India. I live in New Zealand and have been running since 10 yrs. and have ran about 10 half marathons. Organisation was very good. And a nice place to finish. Though I did not get my best time I enjoyed it. Was surprised to see so many wheel chair participants. Would definitely participate in 2020. And a big thanks to all volunteers who have done a good job.

Usually I run half marathon distance. Since I am on holiday in India I decided to go for shorter distance.

We participated in the race as a family, myself, my wife and daughter a special child. Thank you for giving us the 30minutes lead time, was very helpful for us to get started at leisure. Please send us the link to download our certificates.

Our first race, hence started with 10km.

This was very well organized. A lot of 10k ppl are complaining about organization here but they are in the minority. Hyderabad marathon registration is RS 1400 and 10 k had less than 5000. Also you cannot have perfect parking for events like this; try to check marathons around the world; this is not a dinner party or music concert. How can the organizers deal with ppl peeing on the roadside? As for the guy complaining about timing, if you are a serious runner get to the event early so you run with first batch. This should be a learning experience about large runs for you.

It was my first experience in any sporting event after a gap of 30 years. I really enjoyed the route. Thanks to the organizer for such a nice arrangement. Enroute arrangement of juice and snacks was too good. Breakfast was also palatable. Volunteers were also very cooperative.

Thank you... I ran my first Mini 10K MArathon at the Chennai Marathon 2019. I should have been feeling good and proud, for a first timer, as I completed the run and got a medal. But I left with a shallow feeling!!! I came for more! I was serious about this MArathon and I had practiced for nearly a year. Ran over 1200 KM in one year to feel confident that I could return a decent time, before I decided to participate. I was fired up before the first step; and I took the first Step; Only; swamped by the crowd!!! For KMs together, none of the serious runners could run freely. There were more casual walkers, chatting and walking so slowly. There were non serious fun-runners who ran a few hundred steps only to break into a walk for thousands of steps. It was like a traffic snarl, that beats us to submission. I had to ask 'excuse me' more than 2000 times to find my way between people and said more than 1000 'sorrys' as I tripped on others toes or brushed someone's arms and elbows (More 'excuse mes' and 'sorrys' than I had said in all of the last 20 years of my life. I am glad that no one was hurt and and there was no brawl. The people were polite and considerate and gave me way whenever I asked. Some places, (bridge in front of Anna University upto MAdhya Kailash), there was no room even to give way, when asked. The lane was so jam packed. For the serious runners it was frustration all the way. But clearly, this was not the way to run remember. I ended up with a time of 1:15:34, but it was way off my expectation to finish in less than 00:55:00. This was race to forget. Suggestion: 1) Please introduce another category 5 KM for the Fun-runners, to filter off the crowd. I think the 10 KM should belong to serious runners, who may eventually move on to Half-Marathon when they gain confidence. But here I gained no confidence. I was running(?) in slow motion, lower than power walking pace, most of the time. OR 2) Name this run as FUN-RUN 10K; So the serious among us would give it a pass, in favour of other races, and save ourselves from frustration. Hope someone in the decision train is listening and heeding. Else, the Chennai Marathon isn't for me and the likes of me in 2020. Loking forward... Regards, K. Ravichandran BIB No: 12990

I am pretty sure that first timers would have had a great experience running in this event, but for all those who run regularly. There were many disappointments. *Registration was 900+ but kit bag had only jersey in it. (not even a voucher or glucose) *Pit stops for 10K runners had only water bottles, final stop had Tata glucose. Generally Chocolates, fresh fruits, etc will be provided. *Runners pissing on road sides gave a bad impression. *Breakfast counter refused to provide single idly when asked for a replacement for pongal. Despite of the energy and excitement in the event. I felt it was not worth it.

This was my first 10 k run. But, I have seen marathon in Hyderabad. Comparatively, it's poorly organized. I had to walk for about 2 km distance from parking to starting point. For the first four kilometers there were no refreshments(not even water bottles). The Bio toilets were kept only at the starting point. I saw many runners went for a piss in open area near Anna University. Food was excellent. Refilling counters were not organized properly. In the refilling counter they provided only coffee. To return to starting point after finishing, shuttle services not arranged properly. I hope the above thing will be taken care of in the next time. There were lot of good things as well. I liked the orchestra. food...etc.

There are many draw back in this event / Marathon organised by Skechers. * Poor organisation, no systematic way of organised / lack of system. * The distance between Two wheeler / car parking and Start Point is mine.2Km, walked and reached few pathway no organiser member to guide, poor lighting. * At baggage area water was not provided to BIB holder / participants despite of more than 100 water bottle, hence after walking it's bit thirsty. * No pain relief spray provided, intermediate distances. * As per schedule 10km is must be started 6.15am but first batch started by 5.58am, no encouragement and marathon message by start point Jockey........ * Few junctions public vehicles were close to us / threaten to runners safety luckily no incident happened, hope so Even it is told in state news channel. * Limited arrangement of drinking water, energy drink, no lemon is kept, limited trash bags. * In my company same name two persons registered but BIB and T shirt in a single bag. * In recovery felt okay...... * But in food counter A2B person not provided the extra food like extra idly.....
