Day of Event registration will be available starting at 7:30am on May 18, 2024.

Please note - Early Registration is before May 4, 2024 in order to show your support for RTF and receive $10 Registration Price discount. Our stunning new RTF custom Osprey Daypack will be given to the first 200 registrants only, so please register early!

This event has been organized to celebrate the legacy of Richard Tom, a cyclist whose life tragically ended in April of 2015.  Richard dedicated his life to sharing his passion for “all things bicycle”.  This ride will be staged at Cochran's Ski Area. There are several road routes, a challenging gravel route and mountain bike options will be available. Road routes will have rest stops with nutrition and beverages provided by UnTapped.

All rides will finish at the Cochran Ski Area, where food and beverages will be waiting, thanks to Dakin Farms, Stone Corral Brewery, Sugar Snap and other food and beverage sponsors.  The price for your beer is included in your registration fee and please remember, you must be 21 or older to consume alcoholic beverages. We are expecting several participants in our Velo Village to help promote and share the cycling lifestyle. Due to somewhat limited parking at Cochran's please car pool and also consider parking in Richmond and making a short ride to Cochran's Ski Area for the event.

Our mission is to honor the legacy of Richard Tom by creating opportunities for all to discover the community, adventure and joy of cycling.  Proceeds will help people in Vermont communities acquire cycling equipment, and to participate in cycling camps or races. Participants in the Richard's 70 and Richard's 30 are welcome to participate in the Family Rides at no additional cost. The Gravel Routes are unmarked and unsupported. 

Accessibility Notes:

We try to make the ride as inclusive as possible however the setting at Cochran's presents some challenges. 

The base lodge will be where registration, lunch and non-ADA restrooms are located. The base lodge is at the top of a long flight of wooden stairs but can be driven to if needed. There will be a wheelchair accessible Porta Potty in the main parking lot with designated parking nearby. We can bring registration to you in the parking lot if requested (please call 857-891-4465). The gravel entrance road is steep and hand cyclists may need assistance. Please contact us if you would like to arrange for assistance.
