New Glarus Road Race

Brazen Dropouts welcomes and includes all athletes regardless of gender identity at the New Glarus Road Race. The event will feature separate categories for women, trans women, femme, non-binary riders, and trans men. Hate speech will not be tolerated to ensure a safe and inclusive environment. For any concerns or requests, athletes can contact Anne Schwarzwalder at [email protected] New Glarus Road Race in 2023 will be held in two waves with a 4-minute gap between starting groups. Races will stage in front of the New Glarus Middle School. After staging, there will be announcements before heading to the start of the lap on a neutral section.

Podiums and prizes will be awarded at the Middle School after the race. Results will be announced as soon as possible, and podiums will include the top 5 finishers (3 for juniors). The title of "State Champion" is reserved for the first person in each race with an annual USAC license and a Wisconsin address listed on their license.

The race will take place rain or shine, but will be postponed in case of lightning. The Feed Zone is located on Meadow Valley before the finish line.

The course features open roads with the center line rule in effect. Gravel strips with "BUMP" signs are present on County Highway N, but will be repaved by the highways department after the race for smoother conditions next year.
