Beaver Fever TeXC Race #1 p/b Insurance for Texans

Greetings Beaver Fever Registrants,

The weather forecast almost guarantees that the trails will be muddy and closed Saturday. We tried to ride out as long as we could just to make sure but now rain is forecast throughout the day tomorrow. We've just run out of time to take a wait and see approach since we would have to commit significant (and non refundable) expense to stay in the game for this weekend.

We have two makeup dates in mind (one in April, the other in May) and hope to have that nailed down by next week. All entries will automatically roll to the makeup date. Anyone unable to attend for the makeup date and who doesn't have a free Club Spinistry entry will receive full credit towards a future event or a Club Spinistry membership.

More details will be shared as soon as they are available. We are still keeping an eye on the weather and we may try to throw together an informal group ride somewhere this weekend as conditions permit.

BIG thanks to Insurance for Texans and their assistance in making this series a reality. Featuring real deal, XC racing at the (almost) world famous Knob Hills trail! FREE for Club Spinistry members through 2/25/23 or 100 signups, whichever comes first. This will truly be seriously fun racing.

14ish mile loops for Premier and Endurance categories, 11ish mile loop for Juniors and Beginners. Juniors race is a "real" race for 13 and under, not a kids kup type race. Juniors must be capable of riding the full loop without assistance or sweeps.

Awards depth is top 1/3 of field minimum which means at least 9 racers on the line for a full, 3 person podium, at least 3 racers for Top 1.

55 Mile Endurance categories: Overall, Top Female, Top Single Speed, Top Drop Bar, possible additional age/gender awards based on signups + special non competitive recognition for riders who complete the full distance prior to a 7 hour cutoff time.

27.5 Mile Premiere Race categories: Overall, Top Female, Top Single Speed, Top Drop Bar, possible additional age/gender awards based on signups.

11 Mile Beginner categories: Overall, Top Female, possible additional age/gender awards based on signups.

11 Mile Junior categories: Overall, Top Females.
