Running of the Bears 5K - Franklin, LA

Are you ready for an exciting day in historic downtown Franklin, Louisiana on Saturday, April 13th at 8:00 a.m.? Kick off the Bayou Teche Black Bear Festival by joining us for the Running of the Bears, choosing either a 5K (3.1 miles) OR a one-mile fun run. Along the route, take in the views of our famous lamp posts, beautiful antebellum homes, remarkable live oak trees, historic downtown area, and animal life in the Bayou Teche.

Participants have the option to complete a 5K or a 1-mile Fun Run!  Runners and walkers of all skill levels welcome!

Participants 10 and under will receive a Running of the Bears medal.
