 This 6TH Annual  run/walk, in memory of our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend to many ; Lauren, who lost her life to the opioid epidemic in Dec 2017.    She was a beautiful, charismatic, caring young woman.  Had a flair for art and creativity,  And loved humankind beyond measure...

 Since so many have lost loved ones to this epidemic, join us in helping to raise awareness, to end the stigma, the shame, and to provide hope for those who suffer from any form of addiction &/or mental illness. 

 We encourage those who are in recovery ,to join us as well.  

With the support of all ,  we can provide hope,  encourage healthy coping mechanisms, and  help others overcome , Not  only the grief for those who have suffered a loss, but the demons of this disease for those that silently suffer.     Please come in solidarity and help raise awareness, by SPREADING THE LAURENLOVE and let it be known that THERE IS HOPE.💞💞

Because Lauren  is forever 24, 24% of this years proceeds will be donated to Greenwoods Counseling and Referrals in Litchfield CT. They work tirelessly to better educate our youth to the dangers of substance abuse  & to help those with mental health and addiction issues get the help they need.   A memorial scholarship fund in Lauren’s name is set up at Northwest community bank.  The recipient of the $1,000 scholarship in 2022, and 2023 was Gabriela Sustache.  We are  pleased that we will be able to offer scholarships, for many years to come, in Litchfield county, to students who are going into the fields of social work, psychology, or the arts,  in memory of our beautiful, beloved daughter Lauren… 

Donations have also been made to the McCall Foundation during their annual overdose awareness vigil, to Greenwood’s counseling Referrals, and to Project graduation for the Gilbert class of 2023. 

 This race is in the beautiful, picturesque, rolling hills of Winchester. Beginning and ending at a favorite park of Lauren's .  

 It is a 3.1 mile course that begins with a short, steep hill, then downhill, flats, and through the slightly rolling, picturesque  roads of Winchester. It ends on a dirt road with a steep hill at the end , leveling out to the finish ...... hope to see you there!
